201-0.84 Bridge Replacement
The Seneca County Engineer's office announced that the bridge on
Township
Road 201, located approximately 0.84-mile east of SR 100 in Clinton
Township, will be
repaired and upgraded this year. The rehabilitation of the structure
will include
galvanizing the existing steel truss with a new corrugated metal deck on
the existing
concrete capped pile abutments. New galvanized floor beams and stringers
will also be
installed. The upgraded structure will have a widened deck width of
25'-8".
U.S. Bridge of Cambridge, Ohio was awarded the contract with a low bid
of
S349,759.80. The County Engineer is using 100% Federal Highway funds to
pay for this
construction project.
The contractor is scheduled to close Township Road 201 on Monday,
August 30,
2010. The section of Township Road 201 between State Route 100 and
U.S. Route 224 will be closed to through traffic. Access will be
provided to Sentinel Career Center and
Township Road 1172 throughout the project. The work is scheduled to
be completed by
December 1, 2010.
